About
I am a 26-year-old journalism student who loves movies. I thought it would be interesting to watch the films on Roger Ebert’s “Great Movies” list. Then I thought I would blog about them.
If you’ve seen the movie Julie & Julia this concept might seem a little familiar, and it is. However, this blog is primarily about increasing my movie literacy, and I think it could be a useful companion to anyone out there who is looking to do the same. Also, because one of the things I am interested in is film review, this project will hopefully achieve the dual purpose of exposing me to a whole spectrum of movies that are recognized as ‘great’ by one of the greatest film reviewers ever, as well as developing my skills at watching films critically and writing about them.
The ‘New Movies’ section is just that – if I see a movie (as I often do) and feel inspired to write about it I will, but that part of the site is separate from the main thrust.
Bear with me if my posts seem scattered or infrequent. I am, after all, a full-time student, part-time barista, and occasionally a husband.
I loved watching the video about the junior youth empowerment program! Awesome work Nathan!
